A Little HYPE for My Friend

As some of you may, or may not recall, my fellow team blogger Lebowski, mooger-fooger.blogspot.com helped to spread around the word of Nashville's, Dj/turntablist/producer/emcee, Wick-It the Instigator (aka Andrew Owsley) back in May of 2008, by re-posting an interview with Wick-It from the publication, "The Tennessean". At that time he had just released a new record titled "Serious Fun", and with out a doubt, the record's title is certainly not misleading...its the absolute truth. In August of 2008 Wick-It received more press in a "Nashville Scene" interview/article covering his unique style of music, as well as, "MASHVILLE", a monthly event & party hosted by he and a local crew of various friends and musicians.

Fans and friends of Wick-It, the self proclaimed "man with more myspace pages than anyone else in the world", are more than aware that he is no slouch nor stranger to the fine art and science of self promotion. Those who know me may be aware that sometimes I might happen to mention an event or two while I am on the web. So, when I received a personal message from the man himself, notifying me of the set date for this month's "Mashvile Event", and simply saying "spread the word my man"...... I did what any good friend of 15 yrs would do, and simply said "sure". So.... .

MASHVILLE @ LIMELIGHT - JAN 24, 2009

"It's like this folks, new year..new venue!! We will be having Mashville at Limelight this month (Jan. 24th). For those who don't know, Mashville is the best monthly DJ dance party in the city. We've been doing this for a little over a year with no signs of slowing down. Limelight is located on 201 Woodland St. right next to the Titan's stadium. The doors will open at 8:00 pm, and 2 for 1 drink specials will be available from 8:00 thru 10:00, so get there early!! It's still 18+ and ladies free!!!! This month's lineup is Kidsmeal, Bateman, Wick-it, Orig and Mike Vulcan. If you have any questions or comments feel free to hit me up.
